Pediatric Hospitalist (0.5 FTE)

Location: Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH) – Golisano Children’s Hospital at UVM Health Network, Plattsburgh, NY

Position Overview:
CVPH, a member of the Golisano Children’s Hospital at University of Vermont Health System, is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist to provide high-quality inpatient care for infants, children, and adolescents in a supportive community hospital environment. This is a clinical-only position ideal for physicians seeking work-life balance within a collaborative, family-centered care model.

Responsibilities:

Manage inpatient pediatric and newborn patients, including admissions, daily rounds, and discharges.
Provide newborn nursery coverage and attend deliveries as needed.
Collaborate with community pediatricians and UVM Children’s Hospital subspecialists.
Support the Emergency Department with pediatric consultations.
Participate in quality and safety initiatives within the pediatric service.

Qualifications:

MD or DO, Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatrics.
Eligible for NY medical licensure.
Strong clinical and communication skills; commitment to compassionate, team-based care.

Schedule & Benefits:

0.5 FTE (approximately 20 hours/week or equivalent block schedule).
Shared weekends/holidays and call responsibilities within the hospitalist team.
Comprehensive benefits package
Competitive Compensation: $120,000 - $130,000/yr
