Job Description

General Dentist – Malone, New York

The University of Vermont Health’s Division of Dentistry is hiring a full-time Dentist to join our clinic in Malone, NY. Our location offers comprehensive, family-centered oral health care to patients of all ages.

Qualifications:

  • New York State license (or ability to obtain post hire).
  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
  • Postgraduate residency program completion.
  • DEA registration (or ability to obtain post hire).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality care to patients in the Dental Clinic as set forth in the scope of services consistent with the standards set by JCAHO, NYSDOH, and guidelines established by Alice Hyde Medical Center.
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation to ensure corporate compliance and timely billing of claims.
  • Possess an understanding of the unique physiological, emotional, and cognitive characteristics of the different developmental stages in the care of each patient.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of principles and practices of modern dentistry and prevention of dental diseases.
  • Familiar with reporting risk management issues to the Director.
  • Maintain continuing medical educations requirements according to the Alice Hyde Medical Staff bylaws.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Assist the Director with comprehensive review of all patient/family complaints and appropriate follow-up with employees.
  • Maintain professional knowledge base, through participation of continuing education.
