Job Description

The University of Vermont Health Network Medical Group, Inc. seeks an Attending Anesthesiologist to work in the Burlington, VT area, and be responsible for monitoring patient health through the administration of anesthesia and other medication. Specific duties include: (i) meeting with patients before medical procedures to discuss their medical history and lifestyle; (ii) assessing patients’ conditions through analysis of medical history; (iii) explaining to patient the surgical process; (iv) administering anesthesia and monitoring patient vital signs during medical and surgical procedures, and making appropriate adjustments in anesthesia to ensure patient comfort; (v) monitoring patient vital signs and pain management after surgical and medical procedures to ensure patient comfort; and (vi) maintaining patient records relating to their procedures and the type and amounts of medications given.


Must have MD, DO, or foreign equivalent degree plus completion of Pain Medicine Fellowship training. Must have (or be eligible for) VT medical license. Must also be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Anesthesiology, possess a valid DEA certificate, and be able to obtain hospital privileges.


Offered Salary: $432,919.03.
