The University of Vermont Medical Center (UVMMC) is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our Diagnostic Radiology team in a full-time, outpatient procedural role. In this position you will work closely with a large group of radiologists and provide hands-on clinical care that directly supports MSK, Fluoroscopy, and Ultrasound services.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with radiologists across MSK, Fluoroscopy, and Ultrasound divisions to support smooth procedural workflow.
Perform clinic-based procedures such as joint injections and other therapeutic injections.
Evaluate patients independently, develop treatment plans, and manage pre- and post-procedure care.
Conduct histories and physicals, review imaging, and complete documentation.
Participate in select radiology-guided procedures.
Contribute to efficient coordination of outpatient radiology procedural services.
Schedule
1.0 FTE, full-time (40 hours/week)
Day/evening shifts (10–12 hours)
No weekends and no call
Candidate Requirements & Experience
Experienced PA with a strong background in hands-on clinical work
Not open to new graduates at this time
Procedural Competence (Required):
IV placement
Injections
Minor procedures
Independent patient management
Ability to practice with confidence and autonomy in a procedural setting.
Interest in Expanding Procedural Scope within Radiology:
Joint injections
Thyroid biopsies
Fluoroscopy-related tasks

Education
PA: Completion of an Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) approved program (prior to January 2001 – Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs). Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required.
