Situated along the shores of Lake Champlain, the sixth-largest lake in the United States, between the Adirondacks and Green Mountains, you’ll find Burlington, Vermont, one of WalletHub’s “Best Small Cities to Live in America.” This small college city offers all the excitement of a larger metro area in a highly livable community. Here, fine dining, arts and entertainment, amazing activities and events can be found within a mere 10 square miles accessible by public transit, car, foot or bike. What really sets Burlington apart is the abundance of outdoor recreation in and around the city. The shoreline of Lake Champlain offers a 12-mile bike path, three sand beaches, marinas for launching sail boats, hiking trails at Red Rocks Park, and 21 area golf courses in the area. And the winter months offer even more with cross-country skiing, snow kiting or hitting the slopes at Stowe Mountain, Smuggler’s Notch, Mad River Glen or Bolton Valley - all less than an hour from the city.

As a leading health care organization that employs thousands and directly works to improve the health of more than a million people in our two-state region, we are resolutely committed to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in our practices and our communities.
As a medical institution that focuses on care, research and training, we have a professional and moral obligation to not only understand humanity, but to embrace and care for it without bias or discrimination. That starts within our own workforce by actively promoting diversity and inclusion within our clinical and academic communities with a culture that supports and encourages respect for every individual and that recognizes and values our diverse backgrounds.
