Alice Hyde Medical Center, located at 133 Park Street in Malone, New York, is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Emergency Department team in a per diem capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat patients, working closely with the Emergency Department Physician team.
Respond promptly to calls from the nursing staff, effectively managing changes in patient conditions.
Order and interpret tests and images, and prescribe medications as needed.
Prepare patient discharges, including writing prescriptions, discharge summaries, arranging follow-up appointments, and educating patients and their families.
Maintain a high standard of patient care, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the Emergency Department.
Requirements:
Experience in an Emergency Room setting is preferred.
Strong clinical skills with the ability to assess and manage patient care independently.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with medical staff and patient education.
