Attending Gastroenterologist

Division of Gastroenterology – The University of Vermont Health

Location: Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH) – Plattsburgh, NY

The University of Vermont Health is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join the Division of Gastroenterology at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh, New York. This position is part of an integrated academic health system serving hospitals across Vermont and Upstate New York.

CVPH is a 300-bed Level III Trauma Center with a strong referral network, modern endoscopy suites, ambulatory surgery center, and system-wide EPIC EMR connectivity. The gastroenterology team collaborates closely with The University of Vermont Medical Center and additional New York partner sites throughout the system. CVPH has a high volume procedural program with excellent inpatient and outpatient facilities to deliver a broad spectrum of high-quality gastroenterology care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology care
  • Perform diagnostic and endoscopic procedures
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across The University of Vermont Health
  • Participate in call coverage opportunities as needed
  • Potential to work with residents/fellows

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Eligible for New York medical licensure
  • Strong clinical and procedural skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered, collaborative care

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package: $500,000 - $635,000/yr
